How to Use Self Propelled Lawn Mower

A Lawn Mower is a great tool to make your yard, garden, and many other places beautiful. When it is about to Use Self Propelled Lawn Mower, it becomes very easy to chop the unwanted grass.

At present, you will find three kinds of grass chopper in markets. The gas-powered types, the electric types, and the solar types. All of these types are perfect for different conditions. For example, the gas-powered types are best for industrial and commercial uses.

On other hand, the electric and the solar types are best for personal and small uses. Therefore, choose the type first.

  • Place your machine on a plane land and keep it away from children.
  •  Read the manual properly.
  •  Check that your tool has enough amount of gas or oil. Otherwise, without an adequate amount of power, you cannot work properly.
  •  Inspect the spark plug and check that the lead is attached properly with the spark plug. Because, without this lead, the machine cannot run the motor.
  •  Push the carburetor 3-4 times. Do not push it more than that. Otherwise, the engine will be overflowed by oil.
  • You will find a lever in the handle. It is called the throttle lever. Do not forget to put this lever in the mid to high position. Otherwise, you cannot work continuously with the engine.
  • In the end, pull the cord. If the tool starts to make sounds then you can start mowing.

Else, try to do the same thing again. If it does not make any sound then inspect the spark plug. Also, check the gas and oil.

These are some basics and mandatory steps to start a Lawn Mower. Execute every step and make your place beautiful.

Inspect Damages Of Self Propelled Lawn Mower

Sometimes, you may have to face some problems while Use Self Propelled Lawn Mower. Like:

  • When you are pulling the cord, it is not coming outside. It may seem to be a serious problem. Do not worry, the blade may be jammed with a lot of grass or maybe stuck with some heavy materials. Just tilt your machine on its side and clean the blade. Even after this, if the cord does not work then go to a mechanic.
  • Let the engine cool off by turning off the machine. You will see smoke coming out of the machine. If the smoke does not stop gradually than take the machine to the mechanic.

These are some common issues among many users. Be alert about these problems and if you could not find any solution then take your tool to the mechanic as soon as possible.

Maintain The Machine

Maintaining every tool is necessary. Otherwise, you cannot get the service you want. You need to be concerned about some important things about Self Propelled Lawn Mower. Like:

  • Inspect the amount of oil and gas in the machine frequently.
  • Check the belt of the machine. If the belt becomes unusable then change it.
  • Check the sharpness of the blade. Sharpen the blade if requires.  
  • Use a dipstick while pouring the oil into the machine. Because it allows you to observe the amount of oil in the machine.
  • Keep the grass collecting bag clean always.
  • Inspect the front and rear wheels and the handles also.

These are some mandatory things to do to maintain a Self Propelled Lawn Mower. Make sure that the grass cutter is under proper maintenance.
